A New Generation of Phenalkamines was introduced during the European Coatings Show 2023, by Admark.

Admark is a long-term partner of ProChema with a broad product range of epoxy-curing agents and reactive diluents. Besides Admark´s experiences in the area of regular epoxy curatives based on Polyamines and Polyamides, Admark is a well-known and in the industry highly respected specialist on cardanol-based epoxy hardeners.

Phenalkamines are well known for a variety of properties such as fast curing even at low temperatures, good adhesion also on poorly prepared substrates, high surface tolerance, good chemical resistance, and much more. But in the past we also associated a dark color with them which limited the possible use cases on primer and intermediate coatings. This ends now with AP 1365. A Color value below Gardner 2 opens up applications such as topcoat and self-leveling coatings. AP 1365 is the perfect combination of typical phenalkamine properties and mechanical properties with light color and color retention.
